locomotors
Over 50 locomotors part of GCF’s fleet. Highly technological, compliant with laws on emissions and railway safety, they are subject to constant maintenance to make sure that the electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are always achieving the best performances.
They stand out for power and versatility: characteristics for which they are sent to the armouring sites to handle long convoys of flat wagons and hopper wagons or, to electrification sites to haul the tensioning trains safely and on a regular basis.

Manoeuvring locomotors IPE G 600 / IPE G 1001
Last arrivals to boost GCF’s train fleet.
Locomotor IPE G 1001 is a diesel-hydraulic traction vehicle with standard gauge, bidirectional, with double command station and large visibility on both travelling directions.
Weight at full load of 80 tons, for the G 1001 version, 14,130 mm long and bending radius of 60 metres. G 600 is lighter, with mass at full load of 30 tons and a reduced length of 10 metres.
The MTU diesel motor of G1001 features a power of 1200 kw and 1,800 rpm; it is a work train that can reach a maximum speed of 60 km/h (100 km/h progressing speed).
Both versions feature a power braking system and multipole safety devices. Manoeuvring locomotor IPE G 1001 was conceived from the technical collaboration between IPE Locomotori 2000 and Vossloh Locomotives, to satisfy manoeuvring services, operational handing and freight transport needs at the sites.
Quantity: 1 G1001 + 2 G600
Power: 1200 KW
Performances: 60 Km/h
Other locomotors
Fifty locomotors, employed for railway armouring and also at electrification sites. Maintained on a regular basis to always achieve the best performances and safety standards.
